**Your role**

Collins Aerospace is looking for an experienced and motivated SubContracts & Procurement Manager to manage the subcontracts, procurement and purchasing team. Your new role will provide the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership capabilities, in line with your Supply Chain, Contracts and Procurement experience. This is a hands-on role that requires you to maintain and execute consistency in meeting statutory and organisational compliance requirements.

As a leader you are someone who anticipates our customers’ and stakeholder requirements and set the tempo accordingly. Your ability to provide strategic vision, leadership, and guidance to the subcontracts and procurement team will be critical to the success of the team.

**Key Responsibilities will include**:

- Leading and delivering subcontracting requirements and flow down effort to establish the overall subcontract plan, proposal review, analysis, and final evaluation of the proposal
- A business advisor to internal customers; employs commercial acumen and experience to provide market knowledge, supply chain solutions, and proactive support to business units and or Business Programs.
- Lead mentor and is accountable for the procurement team’s efforts and performance.
- Plan and lead negotiations with suppliers, and deals with contract Terms & Condition, flow down change requests by suppliers; including leading the proposal preparation, and management of lower complexity subcontracts.
- Responsible for the total performance management of suppliers, this Includes but not limited to cost, quality, and performance delivery. As well as, conducting internal and external cadence reviews with subcontract administrators and internal customers.
- Supports Head of Operations in the creation of the strategic financial and annual operating plans, establishing departmental objectives, and manages the department budget.

**Skills & Competencies**:
**Essential**:

- Extensive experience in subcontracts, and or Head Contracts.
- Extensive experience in Procurement, Purchasing and Buying
- Strong collaboration and ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to drive change and innovation.
- Strong technical knowledge aligned with commercial acumen.
- Ability to influence and excellent negotiation skills.
- Experience with software systems, including SAP (Ariba would be advantageous).

**Desirable**:

- Tertiary qualification in relevant field or equivalent.
- Experience with leading a cross functional team.
- Experience in working in a highly matrixed, global business.
