**The Role**

The EL1 Signals Intelligence Manager in ASD’s Regional Intelligence (RI) undertakes a combination of the following:

- Develops knowledge or expertise of geopolitical issues, regional cultures, and or information and communications technology trends.
- Uses expertise to provide strategic guidance on, manage, plan and prioritise team’s research, analysis, transcription and translation of collected data to produce signals intelligence tailored to customer requirements.
- Uses relevant expertise to write briefs and advice for senior customers
- Strategically plans, supports and contributes to the development of ASD’s analyst workforce
- Edits foreign signals intelligence products and briefs
- Provides advice and guidance on prioritisation of collection optimisation and capability development efforts.
- Develops and implements innovative business processes to sustain team outputs or develop organisational capability amidst emerging or unforeseen operational challenges
- Identifies and leverages organisational linkages and efficiencies to sustain outputs or develop organisational capability amidst emerging or unforeseen operational challenges.

This includes intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations in support of the Australian Government and Australian Defence Force (ADF).
