**About the team**:

Our circular economy team has the important task of delivering on our sustainability strategy. In a newly created role we are looking for a Product Stewardship Manager, with the specific focus of looking at ways we can reduce product waste across our business.

**About the role**:
Working closely with the Head of Circular Economy you will develop programs and initiatives to help deliver our sustainability, whether that’s reducing packing or working with our partners to help reduce food waste. You will be the key driver of product stewardship strategy. You will also:

- Develop and advise on a Group-wide Circular Economy Action Plan, enabling Coles to meet stakeholder expectations and disclosure requirements related to circular economic activities.
- Design and deliver strategic programs and initiatives to support Coles’ Circular Economy Action Plan, with specific focus on product stewardship programs and practices.
- Support business units to engage with suppliers in order to understand and measure Coles’ product stewardship risks and opportunities, in line with global best practice guidance.
- Support with any documentation review and preparation for Board papers, Sustainability Steering Committee, and other cross functional working groups.
- Support Coles’ communication team with the development of product stewardship content for distribution through internal and external communication channels.

***About you and your skills**:

- Bachelor degree in either Commerce/Science/Engineering
- Project management experience of complex programs of work
- Demonstrated strong organisation and problem solving skills.
- Ability to operate and adapt within a fast-paced culture of change.
- Technical understanding of circular economy issues and related impacts in Australia
