**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Community and City Services Division puts people and community at the forefront of our work. It strives to ensure that Melbourne is a city for all; one that is liveable, healthy and vibrant and meets the needs of a diverse and growing population. The Community and City Services Division consists of around 550 full-time equivalent employees across the following branches:

- City Safety, Security and Amenity
- Community Development
- Community Wellbeing
- Homes Melbourne
- Parking Services
- Recreation and Waterways

The Manager Divisional Business Unit is a key leadership role and strategic partner to the General Manager Community and City Services in driving the overall direction for the business. The position is responsible for:

- Supporting and driving strategy and planning
- Delivering strategic priorities of the General Manager and Divisional Leadership Team
- Ensuring timely delivery and effective monitoring of divisional work program
- Ensuring the smooth delivery of day to day operations
- Managing foundational business activities for the division

**Selection Criteria**

All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and

- Proven leadership experience, political acumen and resilience working in fast paced and complex environments with diverse stakeholders and pressing deadlines.
- Understanding of executive level priorities and responsibilities and experience managing an executive support function.
- Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders with a broad range of expectations and competing priorities.
- Highly developed strategic and analytical skills and sound judgement, coupled with the ability to initiate and drive change.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage business plans, including budgets and financial management
