The Newcastle Evaluation Group is seeking a health technology assessment (HTA) analyst to join our team in support of our program of work in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).

A key focus of the position is the evaluation of submissions to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) requesting listing of pharmaceuticals on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), as well as commissioned work from other HTA agencies.

The role involves assessment of the impact of innovative medicines and other health technologies to guide decisions regarding their appropriate use and the efficient allocation of resources. It involves a multidisciplinary assessment of the clinical evidence, economic modelling and financial impact associated with the introduction of a new technology.

How will you inspire us

Together with the Selection Criteria for this role, you will have:
A PhD or equivalent skill and achievement demonstrated through relevant experience or postgraduate qualifications in clinical epidemiology, health economics, biostatistics and/or health technology assessment.
- Evidence of a capacity to work with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.
- Evidence of an ability to produce high quality reports in a tight timeframe.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders and develop effective relationships.
