The Newcastle Evaluation Group is in search of a health technology assessment (HTA) analyst to join our team in supporting our health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) initiatives.

An essential aspect of the role involves evaluating submissions to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC) for pharmaceuticals inclusion on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS), as well as undertaking commissioned projects from other HTA organizations.

The position entails analyzing the effects of new medications and healthcare technologies to inform decisions on their optimal use and resource allocation. This requires a multidisciplinary evaluation encompassing clinical evidence, economic modeling, and financial implications related to new technologies' introduction.

This role presents an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to enhancing healthcare accessibility in Australia and collaborate in a supportive environment that promotes work-life balance.

Alongside the established Selection Criteria for this role, you will possess:

A PhD or equivalent experience and expertise demonstrated through relevant experience or postgraduate qualifications in clinical epidemiology, health economics, biostatistics, and/or health technology assessment.

  • Proven capacity to generate top-notch reports within tight deadlines
  • Aptitude for engaging with stakeholders and fostering productive relationships
