Reporting to the IT Threat Management Lead, the IT Threat Analyst will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and developing the maturity of both policy and defining objectives in supporting the Group’s capabilities in cyber incident response, threat hunting and adversarial intelligence, technical risk mitigation and more

On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities include:
- Participating in the incident response lifecycle with internal stakeholders- Contributing to the design, implementation and maintenance of nib Group’s IT security control assurance reporting capabilities and strategic direction- Enabling internal stakeholders in identifying, assessing, and minimising both external and internal IT risks- Work closely with crisis management teams- Strategically navigate operational risk with various IT teams

Let’s talk about you

With previous experience in a similar role and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, other experience and skills that will set you up for success include:
- Experience in the evaluation and recommendation of security related technologies and services- Experience in pragmatic operational assessment and management of cyber threats- Strong grasp of current and emerging technologies and related cybersecurity risk-
- Working understanding or knowledge of information security best practice standards and guidelines e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, ASD Essential 8, etc.)- Ability to work with various stakeholders to develop, implement, review and mature security policies and controls- Information security industry certifications from sources such as ISC2, SANS, GIAC, OSP etc, would be highly regarded- Working understanding and knowledge of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry / Data Security Standard) is desirable- Development and automation experience and cloud-first CICD pattern awareness is desirable
