**The Role**

The Families and Young People Services team have an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator to join our Counselling team. This will be a Fixed Term Full-Time position within our Ipswich office (through to 30/6/24).

This role is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day coordination and effective service delivery of Adult, Young people, Children and Family counselling programs. The purpose of this position is to work in collaboration with the Program Manager to provide effective leadership, management and support in the development and implementation of high-quality service delivery to children, young people, families, and other stakeholders in the counselling programs. This position will also take on a small counselling case load of children, Young People and/ or adults.

This position offers an annual salary of
**$93, 860 - $98,108 plus superannuation** (dependent on qualifications and experience). You will also have the opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other benefits (more information below).

**To be eligible for this position you will require**:

- Tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Sound understanding and experience implementing counselling interventions with children and young people, including those that have experienced child abuse and neglect as well as adults and families.
- Experience developing and implementing individualised and/or family intervention plans.
- Hold a Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement unless applicable exemption provided as per the relevant MC procedure.
