About the Role

In this role, you'll focus on driving revenue growth across Microsoft's ecosystem — from Modern Work and Azure to Security and Business Applications. You'll build trusted relationships with clients, help them unlock the full value of Microsoft technologies, and ensure an exceptional customer experience. What you'll do
  • Achieve revenue targets or sales quotas by engaging with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and propose tailored Microsoft solutions to enhance their experience with our products and services.
  • Process requests for quotes promptly and accurately, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned clients to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Help customers and our Datacom sellers navigate funding types from Microsoft to bring investment for those looking to transform with AI and Cloud.
  • Identify customer objectives, decision-making processes, and build new and existing business partnerships.
  • Generate new business leads through cold calling, mailing, and referrals while staying informed about competitor strategies.
  • Participate in sales promotions, campaigns, events, and displays to boost Microsoft brand presence.
Knowledge
  • Sound IT hardware and software knowledge.
  • Knowledge of the NZ IT distribution scene.
  • Microsoft knowledge and IT sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge or experience with close-loop marketing and nurture campaigns to move leads from marketing qualified to sales qualified is preferred.
Skills
  • Ability to engage with clients at all levels and provide comprehensive solutions.
  • Strong sales acumen, including negotiation, persuasion, and exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical concepts and align them with client business objectives.
  • Collaborative in working with Microsoft sales teams to bring the best of both Datacom and Microsoft to customers.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex programs and Microsoft solutions.
  • Results-driven with focus on attaining targets and achieving desired customer and growth outcomes.
