You will drive the successful commissioning activities of the Mental Health and AOD team at NWMPHN, working closely with key stakeholders to delivery evidence-informed, sustainable practices across the broader health sector, aligned with local priorities and community health needs.
- Remuneration: $89,184.51 - $111,200.77 + 12% superannuation
- Full time (1.0 FTE), Permanent role; Hybrid (WFH 2-3 days)

- Location - 737 Bourke Street, Docklands - Close to Southern Cross Train Station
You will work closely with the Manager, Mental Health and AOD, leading a small team to ensure effective delivery of commissioned service, projects and continuous improvement activities within Service Development and Reform business unit. Your work will help inform regional health priorities and support other key health areas, as required.
You will play a central role in building team capability by providing day-to-day guidance on contract management, program compliance, task prioritisation, and reporting.
You will:
- Understand the Australian primary health care system including the intersections between primary and tertiary care, the role of the State and Commonwealth and the role of PHNs as commissioners.
- Have excellent project management, report writing skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Be experienced interacting with external stakeholders and bringing multiple stakeholders together to ensure meaningful and multifaceted engagement with community stakeholders including consumers, carers, people with lived experience, services providers, and policy makers.
- Analyse available data to draw meaningful insights to inform contract management, AOD program priorities and best practice.
- Collaborative leadership style providing professional development for shaping a high-performance team.
