We are seeking a highly skilled Drug and Alcohol Clinician to join our multidisciplinary team in a women-focused therapeutic environment. As a vital member of the team, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive assessments, individual case management, and counseling services to support women dealing with substance use.
Our team is dedicated to delivering person-centered care that prioritizes harm reduction and empowers clients to choose their path to change. - Perform comprehensive drug and alcohol assessments while providing individual case management and counseling services.
- Lead psychoeducation groups on various topics, including life skills, relapse prevention, and harm minimization.
- Establish critical connections and referrals to both internal and external community services.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, offering services to the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing Child Protection.
We are looking for a qualified professional with experience in drug and alcohol counseling, psychology, or social work. To excel in this role, you should:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Community Development, or an equivalent health-related discipline.
- Have a minimum of 2–3 years' experience in drug and alcohol or mental health services.
- Possess AOD-specific training (e.g., Cert IV AOD) or be in progress.
- Have experience working with individuals impacted by substance use and family violence.
- Exhibit excellent clinical skills, particularly in assessment, treatment planning, and health education.
- Hold a current Driver's Licence and a Working with Children Check.
