Job Description
- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Lead internal and external audits to maintain certifications and regulatory compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 22301)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks in engineering and manufacturing processes
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality and EHS metrics
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality and safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and lean methodologies
- Ensure adherence to legal and environmental obligations within the Laverton facility
- Champion sustainability efforts focused on waste reduction, reuse, and recycling
- Lead emergency preparedness, return-to-work programs, and stakeholder engagement
The Successful Applicant
A successful Quality & EHS Manager should have:
- A background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
- Experience in quality assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead and influence teams in implementing process improvements.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Certification in quality or safety management is desirable but not essential.
