Job Description

  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
  • Lead internal and external audits to maintain certifications and regulatory compliance (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 22301)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks in engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to quality and EHS metrics
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality and safety standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and lean methodologies
  • Ensure adherence to legal and environmental obligations within the Laverton facility
  • Champion sustainability efforts focused on waste reduction, reuse, and recycling
  • Lead emergency preparedness, return-to-work programs, and stakeholder engagement

The Successful Applicant

A successful Quality & EHS Manager should have:

  • A background in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.
  • Experience in quality assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams in implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Certification in quality or safety management is desirable but not essential.
