About The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity exists within our Finance section for a highly motivated and committed Revenue Systems Officer on a term contract, full-time basis for up to 3 years.

The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad range of Council's rating and accounts functions, including:

• Assistance with rating system maintenance
• Debt recovery
• Participating in staff training
• Planning and developing system processes
• Ad-hoc rating analysis
• Monthly reconciliations
• General ledger maintenance and other rating duties as directed.
  
  

Essential

Qualifications and experience

• TAFE certificate or equivalent
• Suitable qualifications or extensive experience (minimum two years) in a similar position within a large multi-purpose Council or large corporation
• Experience in rating and revenue systems
• Computer literate including systems and database skills
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Local Government experience.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience using TechnologyOne software systems
• Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
• Availability to work flexible working hours
• Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  
  

Remuneration And Benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

• Entry level for this position starts at $1,790.59 per week
• 35-hour working week
• Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
• Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 12% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
