Overview

Virtual Health, a division of Aspen Medical, requires a Clinical Workforce Lead to provide direction to the Virtual Health Clinical Leadership and Workforce support teams to ensure optimal workforce performance. This role supports high quality patient care through evidence-based guidelines and protocols, and drives continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Staff selection, management, development and appraisal, specifically clinical leads and senior clinical leads
  • Participating in policy development and implementation
  • Participating as a member of the leadership team, and contributing to the development of nursing and virtual health policy to facilitate high-quality nursing care
  • Acting as a consultant and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate quality nursing care and occupational health and safety
  • Coordinating and ensuring maintenance of standards of nursing care for a specific group or population within Virtual Health
  • Providing leadership and role modelling, particularly in action research and quality assurance programs
  • Allocating and rostering staff, including the Senior Clinical Lead and Clinical Lead work schedules
  • Occupational health: identifying, reporting and managing Health and Safety incidents in line with the HSE framework
  • Assisting in the management of action research projects and participating in quality assurance programs and policy development within Virtual Health
  • Delivering direct and comprehensive nursing care and individual case management as appropriate within Virtual Health
  • Managing on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis between Virtual Health Clinical manager and leads
  • Performing other reasonable Clinical Personnel Lead duties as directed by the Clinical Operations Manager
  • Promoting ethical behaviour and alignment with Aspen Medical's Social Purpose and B Corp principles; providing support, direction, orientation and education to Virtual Health Clinicians
Qualifications
  • Registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years of experience and an unrestricted registration as a registered nurse with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Virtual Health Services
  • Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders effectively
  • Commitment to upholding high standards of patient care quality and compliance
  • Client-focused, responsive, flexible and committed to delivering quality services
  • Interest in leadership roles with an understanding of team management principles
  • Clinical experience and knowledge of quality culture and clinical governance methods, including compliance assessment and auditing, trend reporting and KPI analysis, and clinical risk management
