We are currently seeking a Community Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team in Kununurra, regional Western Australia on a full-time permanent basis.

Our Juniper Home and Community Care team provides community-based care programs that assist our aged customers to continue to live independently in their own homes. Renowned for our commitment to the delivery of person-centered care and best practice in relation to the provision of quality care, you will be working in a supportiveenvironment that encourages initiative and leadership.

This position requires the delivery of personal care to our community clients, in addition to providing domestic assistance, transport and social support.Candidates with experience in the delivery of personal care (such as showering, dressing, toileting) to the aged will be viewed favorably.

Working hours are between 7am-4pm Monday to Friday. Contracted hours and days of work will be negotiated with the successful candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care
  • Assist customers with administration of correct medication
  • Assist customers with domestic duties, meal preparation and other household tasks to ensure safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes
  • Social Support, including transport to shops or appointments
  • Adherence to Client Care Plan

Key Requirements:

  • Current Australian driver's license and reliable car - essential
  • Certificate III Aged Care - desirable
  • Current First Aid certification - desirable
  • Previous experience working in the Community - desirable
  • Understand documentation and relevant aged care legislation
  • Understand principles of Occupational, Safety & Health and correct manual handling
  • Verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, families and service providers in a manner which is effective and consistent
