Family Partnership Worker Role

As a Family Partnership Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to families and communities. This position involves working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of the Australian Family Partnership Program (AFPP) model.

  • You will contribute to the strategic objectives of your organization by aligning with its overall strategy.
  • Deliver program services that meet the needs of clients and families, ensuring a client-centred approach.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Member Services and external agencies to facilitate communication and collaboration.
  • Engage in reflective practice and provide ongoing support to clients and families, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and understanding.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes to enhance service delivery outcomes and maintain compliance with health accreditation standards.

This role requires a strong commitment to upholding the values of integrity and respect for client confidentiality.

Requirements:
  • Experience in clinical practice or community health education programs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly when engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
  • A thorough understanding of Aboriginal culture, history, and the social determinants of health affecting Indigenous communities is required.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Willingsness to undertake relevant training and travel as necessary for professional development.
