SENIOR EVENTS COORDINATOR – Events Hamilton Island is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Events Coordinator to join our high-performing Events team. Your Role

As Senior Events Coordinator, you'll manage the end-to-end coordination and delivery of events across the island. This includes liaising with internal and external stakeholders, preparing run sheets and itineraries, managing supplier bookings, and overseeing on-site execution to ensure every event runs seamlessly.

You will:

  • Manage the planning and delivery of weddings, business events, social occasions, venue bookings, and internal functions
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners to ensure delivery of products and services
  • Gather event-specific information and prepare run sheets, itineraries, event orders, and reports
  • Coordinate venue and supplier bookings across accommodation, catering, AV, styling, and transport
  • Lead pre- and post-event briefings, and provide recommendations for future improvements
  • Support the events team in staff briefings and event execution when required
  • Maintain thorough records and documentation for internal use and client satisfaction

You are a confident communicator with a hands-on approach to event delivery. You have excellent attention to detail, a professional presence, and thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same.

To Be Successful, You Will Need
  • QLD Drivers Licence (Essential)
  • QLD Restricted Drivers Authority (Essential)
  • QLD RSA (Essential)
  • Strong experience in hospitality, service delivery, and event coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management or sales platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High-level organisational and time management abilities
  • Strong leadership and a motivating team-first attitude
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, and event hours
  • Diploma of Hospitality or Event Management (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a luxury or premium events environment
  • Strong attention to detail and polished personal presentation
