As a Medical Receptionist with us at Majellan, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our busy front desk. You'll be a central point of contact for patients, doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, while also supporting and mentoring junior reception staff.

This is a casual role offering 30+ weekday hours per week across both clinic locations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support reception operations across both sites

Warmly welcome and check in patients, including registering new patients into our system

Manage phone and email communication with patients and medical professionals in a professional, respectful manner

Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently

Process billing, payments, and Medicare batching with accuracy

Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, mailing, and preparing medical documents

Ensure compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and practice policies

Liaise closely with doctors, nurses, and management to support clinic efficiency

Assist with onboarding and training of new reception staff

Handle daily banking and reporting as required

Minimum 1 year of experience using Best Practice software

Previous senior reception or administrative experience in a medical setting

Excellent organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and a genuine patient-focused approach
