About The Role

Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub is a new community based service providing mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years. As a Senior Speech Pathologist at Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub, you'll play a core role in completing multidisciplinary assessments, case formulation, and collaborative treatment planning and delivery to children (0-12 years) experiencing mild to moderate mental health and well-being challenges. You'll take a child centred approach but will extend your scope to focus on the families and carers of our clients to contribute a truly wholistic health service in our community.

You'll work with multidisciplinary teams and external health providers to provide specialised support in a range of environments as part of a flexible service model. You'll help shape the future direction of a new and dynamic service and build capacity in the community. You'll benefit from an environment of flexible practice and adaptive service delivery with an experienced multidisciplinary team, including allied health, nursing and medical staff, within a Hub based service.

You'll collaborate with internal and external care providers and partner organisations across health, education, social services, Aboriginal health, and disability sectors to ensure continuity of care and build capacity for service delivery for children in the community. You'll provide high-quality clinical services and contribute to shaping the future direction of the service and to building capacity within the Hub and the community.
