About this Position

As a Speech Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with communication disorders, speech impairments, and swallowing difficulties. Your primary responsibility will be to develop individualised treatment plans to help clients improve their speech, language, and swallowing skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop evidence-based treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
  • Provide therapy to clients to improve speech articulation, fluency, voice quality, receptive and expressive language skills, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with clients' families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and share information.
  • Monitor client progress, document therapy sessions, and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • License or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Clinical experience working with individuals across the lifespan with various communication disorders.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals facing communication challenges.
