Change Communications Specialist – Transformation Project

Location: Brisbane

Employment Type: Contract until Sept 2026

Salary: $95 per hour, plus super

Are you a strategic communicator with a knack for simplifying complexity and engaging diverse audiences? Join a high-impact government transformation initiative that's reshaping how information is managed across the enterprise.

This major government project is delivering a contemporary Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution to replace legacy systems and uplift organisational capability in document, records and correspondence management. It's a large-scale, multi-year endeavour with broad reach across internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans tailored to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Create high-quality communications materials including presentations, newsletters, digital content and briefing packs
  • Coordinate and deliver communication events such as surveys, forums and stakeholder presentations
  • Build strong partnerships across the organisation to ensure consistent and effective messaging
  • Work closely with project leadership, change specialists and business representatives to align communications with project milestones

This role reports to the Workstream Lead, Business Integration, and will operate across all levels of the organisation.

About You

You're a confident communicator with:

  • Proven experience in strategic communications within large, complex environments
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across multiple formats
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, especially with geographically dispersed audiences
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience in government or public sector projects (highly regarded)
Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Public Relations or a related field
  • IAP2 Certification is also highly regarded
  • Willingness to undertake a Police Check
  • Right to work in Australia
