
Facilities Officer

- Overseeing routine reactive and preventative maintenance across a diverse portfolio of community buildings, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure
- Coordinating contractors, trades and external service providers for maintenance and improvement projects (and ensuring their performance with safety and regulatory standards)
- Conducting inspections and reporting of properties and facilities for asset condition, maintenance needs and compliance purposes
- Ensuring council facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as all personnel and contractors under supervision
- Responding promptly to all maintenance requests and ensuring cost-effectiveness of assigned and approved maintenance and works
- Preparing and maintaining plant and equipment registers
- You're experienced in facilities maintenance, building management, operations and/or technical support
- You have the ability to coordinate and manage contractors, trades and service personnel (and ensure their performance)
- You're proactive, highly organised and able to coordinate multiple projects and priorities
- You're customer-focused and have a service orientated mindset. You're also available to be "on-call" for 1 week every 4 weeks (allowance provided)
- You have a practical understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc) and knowledge of building construction methods, building codes, compliance and standards
- You have a practical safety-first approach and understanding of work health and safety
- You have a keen eye for detail, particularly in identifying faults and required repairs
- You're confident with computers, software and tablets/devices
- You have a 'C' class driver's license and able to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old)
- A permanent, full-time opportunity in a welcoming and thriving local government

- $87,219.60 - $ 92,552.83 per annum + super
