Responsibilities
  • The primary purpose of the Clinical Coordinator - Adult Survivors Program is to provide advanced clinical, strategic, educational and programmatic expertise and leadership in the establishment and implementation of NSW Health's new Adult Survivors Program – a specialist integrated program for adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex needs.
  • Lead the establishment of local clinical networks and relationships
  • Establish and maintain effective networks with relevant clinical streams, clinicians, and services within the LHD.
  • Facilitate partnerships between services/streams to improve service delivery and coordination.
Qualifications
  • Social Work qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) and demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in providing counselling, group work, parenting and case management interventions to clients with child protection, violence, neglect and trauma
  • Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to provide high level clinical advice and education to enhance service delivery, including supervision around violence, abuse and neglect issues
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and engage with stakeholders across complex environments
  • Ability to initiate and lead quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation
  • Ability to work with minimal direction in an environment of organisational complexity and to support the development of an innovative service
