About the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a Metal Fabricator to work across a wide range of projects where your trade skills are valued, your safety is a priority, and your career growth is supported.

As a Metal Fabricator at Ceejay Engineering, you'll be part of a dynamic team working across structural, mechanical, and piping fabrication. Success in this role means delivering high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and collaborating well with others across our busy workshop environment.

You'll be working on cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components from detailed drawings while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards.

This role plays a key part in supporting our delivery across key industries, including mining, construction, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine job requirements
Select and prepare materials and tools for fabrication
Cut, bend, roll, and weld metal components accurately
Assemble and finish metal parts or structures to spec
Inspect and verify the quality of fabricated components
Ensure compliance with all WHS procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines and resolve challenges

Skills and Qualifications:

Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication or Engineering Fabrication (Cert III)
At least 5+ years of Proven workshop experience in metal fabrication and welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick)
Ability to read and work from fabrication drawings
High attention to detail and commitment to safety
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of Australian Standards and WHS procedures
Forklift or confined space ticket (desirable but not essential)
