**The Opportunity**: We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated **Metal Fabricator** to join our team in our state-of-the-art workshop. This is a hands-on role offering diverse projects, a safety-first environment, and the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s best tradespeople.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
- Select, clean, and prepare metal stock for fabrication
- Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame-cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
- Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, as well as heating and hammering techniques
- Align components to be joined using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
- Examine welds to ensure correct bead width, penetration, and precision
- Finish fabricated products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and immersing in acidic solutions
- Smooth and clean welds using chiselling, filing, and grinding methods
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet engineering and quality specifications
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to maintaining an organized and efficient workshop environment

**About You**:

- Trade qualification in Metal Fabrication or Boilermaking
- Proven experience in heavy metal fabrication and welding
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive attitude
- Safety-conscious and reliable

Pay: $26.86 - $48.31 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
