**The Company**

For the last 30+ years, our client has manufactured purpose built pumping and water management systems designed to their client’s requirements and specifications with a proven reputation of high quality, reliability and service.

Due to our client expanding their Fabrication Department they are seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to assist Boiler Maker Welders and Coded Welders.

**Working Days & Hours**
- **Working Days**:Monday to Friday (No Weekends)
- **Working Hours**:7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (May Vary)
- **Over Time**:Can be available depending on how busy the Fabrication workshop is

**The Role**

Working closely with Boiler Maker Welders and Coded Pipe Welders, the Fabrication TA will be conducting a large variety of tasks which include;
- **Preparing Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel for Fabrication - Plate, Pipe, Angle, U Channel and Beams**:

- **Measuring & Cutting Steel using Ban Saws, Drop Saws & Grinders**:

- **Operating Bevelling Machine to prepare Pipe for Coded Welders**:

- **Using Magnetic, Pillar & Standard Drills to drill holes in steel**:

- **Grinding Steel & Welds**:

- **Forklift Operation - Moving Steel & Completed Work around the workshop**:

- **Gantry Crane Operation - Moving Steel around the workshop**:

- **Palletising or Packing completed work for transport**:

- **Keeping the workshop tidy including machinery, welding bays and general work areas**

You will have experience as a Trades Assistant working in a Fabrication Workshop, ideally with at least 6 months experience. You will possess skills and experience such as;
- **Measuring & Cutting Steel**:

- **Operating workshop machinery such as Ban Saws, Drop Saws, Bevelling Machines, Drills & Grinders**:

- **Have a positive attitude possessing initiative, intelligence and good organisational skills**:

- **Conducts themselves in a highly professional manner at all times in a workshop environment**:

- **Be reliable, punctual and have a great work ethic**:

- **Be physically fit with the ability to undertake physically demanding tasks**:

- **Be safety conscious**:

- **Take pride in your work**:

- **Have contactable references**:

- **Be a permanent resident with full working rights**:

- **Possess a Current Drivers Licence and reliable Vehicle**:

- **Be able to pass a D&A screen & ongoing regular random testing**

**Remuneration**

Casual pay rate will be between;
- **$32.00 to $38.00 Per Hour**:

- **+ Over Time**:

- **+ Super**
