The opportunity

We are looking for enthusiastic and community-minded individuals to join our Customer Service Team as Casual Customer Service Officers. As the first point of contact for the Hobsons Bay community, you will play a key role in providing friendly, professional, and efficient service to residents and visitors. You'll be part of a supportive team that values adaptability, collaboration, and customer focus. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of settings, including the Civic Centre Contact Centre, Hobsons Bay Libraries and Community Hubs.

What You'll Be Working On
  • Providing customer service triage across the whole of Council, connecting residents with the right information and services
  • Responding to phones, emails, webchats, and in-person enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Using the CRM system to manage the full case life cycle and triage requests into the correct departments
  • Contributing to continuous improvements in customer experience for the Hobsons Bay community

  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues across Council
  • Digital literacy and willingness to learn new systems and technologies

Pre-Employment Requirements

Progressed candidates will be required to complete a National Police Check & a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
