The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Data Services Specialist to join our Data and Analytics division. In this role you Integrate, format and present relevant analyses and data visualisations to communicate results, findings and recommendations to various businesses users.
Your new role
In this role you will be a member of a chapter, building the data and analytics platform. The role works alongside different functions to develop the data platform by understanding the core system data structures, data processing architecture and designing data pipelines You will also be working closely with the data scientist team and technology function to engineer features required to support the development of machine learning models. As a Data Specialist, you will have proven experience in data engineering including new data engineering technologies, data pipeline development, design, data modelling and analysis.
Your other responsibilities include:
- Design and develop data engineering assets and scalable feature engineering frameworks to support various business units and internal data science activities.
- Expand data platform capabilities by identifying, sourcing, and integrating new data to resolve new data problems and challenges.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Peer review code, promote DevOps culture within the data services team, and implement solutions adhering to architecture best practices.
- Develop ETL solutions using Python, Databricks, Spark, and Microsoft Azure Technology Stack to load data across multiple sources into the Data and Analytics platform, including building ADF framework for data migration to Azure Cloud technologies.
About you
You will have proven experience in data management, solution designs and delivery. Advanced communication skills, able to articulate, present, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders. Knowledge and understanding of end-to-end data management lifecycle and data quality management. A flair for learning new data tools and best practices.
You will have:
- Solid experience using: MS Stack: Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI and SQL.
- Experience working MongoDB, Graph databases, programming languages (R, Python, Spark ETL SQL VStudio), CI/tools (Bamboo, or similar), GitHub, Jira and Confluence.
- Passionate in learning about new data tools and best practice
- Strong working knowledge of the end-to-end data management lifecycle and data quality management.
