About the Role:
Based in Adelaide, and reporting to our experienced Senior Key Account Manager (SKAM), this exciting and highly autonomous opportunity will develop and maintain existing relationships and as well as working on opportunities to expand our market share and strategic growth areas.
Whilst you will be part of a small SA Team, you will be supported and aligned with the wider IMI Southern Team including the Melbourne Head Office. Domestic travel will be required with the possibility of international travel for training and other global events.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively assess and validate customer needs, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customer accounts, including Distributors, Resellers, OEMs, and End Users.
Maintain a CRM database with visit/call notes and contribute to ongoing sales and budget reviews.
Prepare customer proposals and quotations in accordance with company policies.
Monitor customer, competitor, and market activities to provide current market intelligence.
Take ownership of customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) and actively participate in the NPS process.
Attend product/sales development training programs and contribute to promotional activities.
About you:
Strong mechanical aptitude and / or technical background preferably working in industries specializing in BMS / PLC / Hydraulic / Pneumatic equipment including application and system design.
Proven success in technical, solution-based key account management.
Commercially astute with demonstrated experience in delivering customer-focused solutions.
Highly goal-oriented, assertive, and a hands-on problem solver comfortable with remote working conditions.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) preferred.
Actively contribute to building a positive culture.
