Connect APAC have been exclusively engaged by a leading, Australian FMCG organisation who are keen to add a Senior Sales Representative to their Sales team with the role based out of South Australia. This critical role is responsible for managing a defined territory of retail stores, while also taking ownership of mini group accounts, ensuring strong relationships, strategic growth, and executional excellence across all touchpoints. As the Senior Sales Representative, you will be the key contact for both independent retailers and small chain/multi-site customers, driving sales performance, executing promotional plans, and ensuring in-store excellence. Reporting directly to the National Field Manager, this role offers a blend of strategic account management and hands-on field execution, ideal for a high-performing FMCG professional looking to take the next step in their sales career.
Key Requirements:
- Territory Management: Manage a defined geographical area of stores within South Australia, ensuring territory sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Account Management – Mini Groups: Take end-to-end responsibility for a portfolio of mini group accounts (multi-site independents or small chains), including negotiation, promotional planning, and relationship development.
- Execution Excellence: Implement and maintain best-in-class execution across product visibility, availability, planogram compliance, and promotional activity.
- Customer Relationship Building: Build strong, long-term relationships with store managers, group buyers, and key decision-makers to drive brand advocacy and sales growth.
- Data & Insights: Use sales data and reporting tools to identify opportunities, track performance, and support fact-based selling.
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with internal teams including marketing, category management, and logistics to deliver tailored solutions and ensure smooth execution.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Act as a senior member of the field team, offering mentorship and guidance to junior representatives as required.
Key Requirements:
- Experience as a Sales Representative, National Account Executive, Key Account Manager or similar level.
- Proven experience managing independent retailers and/or mini group accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to work autonomously in the field and manage a flexible schedule.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM/reporting systems.
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel across South Australia as required.
