Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is located on the world-famous Cable Beach in Broome, far north Western Australia. Broome is easily accessible by plane to all major Australian cities and offers a relaxed lifestyle with all the conveniences of shops, restaurants, cinemas, hospital and schools. Our property has 225 rooms of varying styles, 4 restaurants, pool side bars, tour desk, Resort Shop and Day Spa.

We currently have an opportunity for an Engineering Administrator to join our Broome based Engineering Team. This position will suit a candidate with a strong background in Office Administration.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  1. Reports to the Chief Engineer or delegate.
  2. Works in conjunction with the entire Engineering Department.
  3. Communicates, coordinates and cooperates closely with staff from all other departments as required.
  4. Interacts with individuals from outside the Resort such as contractors and suppliers.
  5. Prepare department purchase orders ensuring accuracy of description of purchase and general ledger codes.
  6. Dispatch maintenance requests to appropriate engineering staff and follow up on any outstanding requests.
  7. Communicate with resort departments in the completion of works or arrival of materials or goods.
  8. Ensure the stationery supplies within the department are maintained.
  9. Ensure all documentation is filed appropriately and efficiently.
  10. Undertake End of Month reporting procedures for and on behalf of the Chief Engineer.
  11. Pro-actively monitor and report on any areas where improvements are noticed / required.
  12. Undertake project work under the instruction of the Chief Engineer.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  1. Previous administrative and/or finance experience is essential.
  2. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  3. High level of organization and communication skills, both oral and written.
