Seeking a Deputy Director of Academic Learning As Deputy Director of Academic Learning, you will shape a contemporary, globally relevant curriculum and drive consistency across campuses.
This is a three-year academic leadership position (0.5 FTE) with an ongoing teaching appointment, based at our Ridgeway Campus and commencing in January 2026.
What You Will Do Lead the design and delivery of a high-quality, future-focused curriculum across Years 7–12.
Embed the Ivanhoe Instructional Model and evidence-informed teaching practice across campuses.
Drive alignment in assessment, reporting and learning management systems to support excellence in teaching and learning.
Ensure compliance with educational standards while maintaining rigorous metrics for student achievement.
Use data and quality assurance processes to monitor progress, evaluate impact and enhance outcomes for all learners.
Represent the School in academic and community forums, building strong networks and sharing best practice.
Who You Are A passionate and reflective educator with proven expertise in leading curriculum and pedagogy.
You understand that student success is built on the growth of teachers, and you create conditions where staff feel supported, challenged, and empowered to excel.
Think strategically, with a passion for curriculum innovation and educational excellence.
Hold current VIT registration and demonstrate leadership experience in pedagogy and staff development.
Design and implement curriculum aligned with VCE, IB, and VCAA standards, achieving measurable improvements in student outcomes.
Communicate with confidence, building trust and fostering collaboration across campuses while empowering teams.
Uphold the highest standards of child safety and compliance, with expert knowledge of protocols and policies.
Lead with resilience in dynamic environments, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on leadership.
