Reporting to the QA Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards and functions are maintained and overseeing quality control of raw material through to finished product.
This role is fast-paced and hands-on, offering an immediate start, and an opportunity to learn and grow within the industry.
This is a permanent part-time role working 2-3 days per week.
Key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
Performing Quality & Food Safety inspections within our production facility e.g.
CCP and QCP check the checker activities.
Monitoring and inspection within manufacturing area to verify compliance to GMP (including GMP internal auditing and post cleaning start-up checks).
Identifying and escalating food safety and quality issues.
Exercise good communication and consultation practices daily within the QA Team, and with other teams as required, including correct reporting, collection and compiling of facts.
Ensuring all food safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met with the QMS.
Ensure line hygiene standards are maintained, and changeovers / line clearance are carried out in accordance with QA standards.
Reporting and corrective action of on hold and non-conforming finished products / work-in progress and raw materials.
Frequent liaising with production staff and management to address all quality issues and implement preventative action.
Support and engage in any training activity related to GMP, QC Checks.
Product quality assessment (in process, finished product and retention samples)
Assisting with investigations, risk assessments during food safety Incident reporting/Customer Complaint investigations.
Environmental monitoring program.
Calibration of equipment
Assist with QA documentation, including but not limited to verification of CCP and QCP records, filing, computer data entry, and electronic reporting.
Working with operators to develop SOP and training documents.
To be successful in this role, you will require the following:
A relevant study in Food technology (graduates and or students welcomed to apply).
Quality Assurance / Quality Control experience in an FMCG Food industry environment will be highly regarded (but not essential).
Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP, SQF, food processing and manufacturing.
A dedication to learning and can-do attitude.
Excellent planning and communication skills.
Ability to problem solve and attention to detail.
