Business Development Manager

Our global client provides strategic product ranges into both domestic and international industrial sectors – combined with years of experience in metallurgy, global networking and the provision of innovative supply solutions to their clientele.
They forge together the supply of Secondary Metal Revert and Pure Metals to the Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Steel Mill, Nuclear, Investment Casting, Medical, Electronics, Wear Part, Mining, Energy and Gas Turbine industries.
Merging these two concepts together they offer a service like no other metals company, covering every angle of the supply chain bringing products from "Mine to Market".
With a longstanding client based in WA and relationships across the South East Asia market they have recently committed to a brand new, state of the art 3,500 sq metre facility based in Canning Vale and are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.
In this position you will have a primary focus on the South East Asia markets alongside Australia and New Zealand and your role will be to locate, establish and build relationships with a range of customers who have high value scrap metal.
To be successful in this role:
Driven with strong motivation Inquisitive and a proactive natureGood Math/Commercial knowledgeAbility to communicate with customers at all levelsWillingness to travel to all regions covered on a regular basisConfidence to put yourself in uncomfortable positionsA commodities interest would be advanteagous but not essential Prior industry experience is not essential and instead the client is looking for a hunter, someone willing to turn over rocks to find opportunities. This is the type of role where you own your own destiny and will be supported but will need to be a strong planner and connector.You will need to be analytical and in the role you will be considering a number of key factors when negotiating purchase such as current supply, value of the specific metal, weight and general trading conditions. This is a family owned business who have an incredibly strong culture throughout their team. Interactions are easy with little red tape and the desire to make things work . There will be full support with trips to the UK and Europe operations for training, product knowledge and inter company relationship building.
