About the Opportunity

Metcash is seeking a skilled Commercial Analyst to join our team in Canning Vale, WA. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a critical role in gathering financial and operational data, providing insights, and supporting key decision-making processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze key data sources to inform commercial activities and drive business growth.
  • Manage the month-end accounting and reporting process to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Assist with budget development, forecasts, and strategic planning processes to support business objectives.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and data analysis to support business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve claims and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable queries.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Accounting and working towards CPA/CA certification.
  • Proven experience in accounting, analytical, or related commercial roles, with a strong background in FMCG/Liquor/Warehouse and Distribution.
  • Advanced system skills, including Excel and Access.
  • Data visualization experience, preferably with PowerBI.
