About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analyst to join our team at Metcash, a leading wholesale distribution company in Australia. As a Commercial Analyst, you will play a critical role in gathering financial and operational data, providing assessments and analysis to support business decisions, and driving the positive direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify key data sources, both internal and external, to inform key decision processes for commercial activities
  • Manage the month-end accounting and reporting process to ensure accurate and timely financial information
  • Assist with budget development, forecasts, and strategic planning processes to drive business growth
  • Provide support for the preparation of ad hoc reports as required by the business
  • Assist with claims resolution reviews and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable related queries
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Accounting and working towards CPA/CA
  • Demonstrated experience within an accounting, analytical, or related commercial role with previous FMCG/Liquor/Warehouse and Distribution experience
  • Advanced system skills, including Excel and Access
  • Data visualization experience, ideally PowerBI
