Job Description:


SGS Academy is looking for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) Compliance Officer to join the NSW team based in Mayfield.

This is a full time permanent position reporting into the National Learning Solutions Manager

Your key responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage SGS Australia's RTO & AQF requirements ensuring full compliance to the regulating bodies, legislation, standards, company policies and client needs.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of SGS's training packages and programs.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective compliance strategies, monitor operational processes, and conduct regular audits to assess and improve the organization's compliance status.
  • Assist in growing the business through the identification of new training requirements, additions to scope, and development of new programs.
  • Maintain currency of training products, training methodologies and skill sets of employee and subcontractor trainers.
  • Handle all ASQA correspondence, promptly responding to inquiries, requests, and notifications.
  • Conduct internal compliance audits, including annual audit for the CEO Declaration.
  • Prepare and submit yearly AVETMISS reports, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting of data to NCVER.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years' experience in Vocational Education and Training, and and AQF expertise
  • Cert IV or Diploma level qualifications in training and assessment
  • Diploma in Quality Auditing is desirable
  • Technical knowledge of WHS requirements across mining industry
  • Indepth knowledge and experience of Standards for RTOs 2015, VET legislation and ASQA General Directions
  • Strong experience and knowledge in developing training and assessment programs
  • Local and national knowledge of industry and market
  • Demonstrated experience in auditing systems and people
  • Current drivers licence and ability to travel to other SGS locations (overnight stays) as required
