Transport PSA - Environmental Services

ABOUT THE ROLE:


Play a key role for the Environmental Services Department with the aim to provide transport of patients to and from all locations within the hospital as needed.

This role will support the clinical wards, including the operating theatre, to facilitate the smooth and efficient transport of patients as needed.

This role is required for after hours on weekdays and on weekends.

  • Located at Werribee Mercy Hospital as part of the Environmental Services Department
  • Permanent Fulltime, Permanent Parttime, and Casual positions available
  • This role is afternoon shift Mon
  • Friday, and Morning, Afternoon and Night Duty on weekends. Multiple staff are needed to fill this role.
  • Provide quality clientfocused service to patients, their family and carers, through caring and efficient transport across the hospital
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional clinical service

ABOUT YOU:

  • Required Qualification of Cert III in Health Services or working towards will be considered
  • Must be willing to work at least 2 days per week
  • Previous transporting experience an advantage
  • Ability to use bed movers and associated equipment or willing to learn
  • Enthusiastic, motivated team player and good communications skills are essential

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, paediatrics, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care.

The hospital has undergone expansion of Hospital in the Home/Hospital Care at Home program and our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
