Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.
NHW is seeking an experience and innovative senior clinician to join the NHW Emergency Department (ED), to co-lead Allied health professionals within the service. The successful applicant will deliver a comprehensive interdisciplinary service, including assessment and management of ED patients, with a strong focus on discharge planning. This role is still being refined within the emergency department therefore the the successful applicant will be involved with a review of the current role working closely with senior allied health and ED team members.
The position will hold both leadership and clinical responsibilities so is suitable to for a clinician who is seeking the opportunity to diversity and enhance their clinical and non-clinical skills. The successful applicant will need to manage a busy workload with competing priorities and build and maintain professional networks with both internal and external stakeholders.
An approved degree is Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Social Work, Speech Pathology or Dietetics is vital, along with demonstrated knowledge, skill and experience in an inpatient setting. The successful applicant will be part of the NHW ED team, in addition to the broader Allied health team and NHW workforce.
