ABOUT THE ROLE

The Clinical Lead is responsible for providing leadership to the Physiotherapy team. They report directly to the Program Manager Rural Health Team. They hold the key responsibilities of ensuring effective and high-quality clinical supervision occurs within their discipline and for developing a professional development plan to meet the needs of their discipline, Gateway Health and the community. They will ensure their respective team provides best practice, evidence-based care and meets quality and risk standards.

The Clinical Lead will be responsible for representing and promoting their discipline and the broader Allied Health community within Gateway and externally. In conjunction with the Program Manager Rural Health Team they will:

  • Monitor activity requirements
  • Provide strategic direction for their discipline team and Allied Health more broadly to meet activity and budget requirements as well as the needs of
    Gateway Health and the community
  • Complete performance appraisals for their discipline
  • Recruit to their discipline

The Clinical Lead role is 0.3 EFT (22.8 hours per fortnight). We also have 0.3 EFT (22.8 hours per fortnight) to complete a physio case load in addition to the Clinical Lead role. Apply for one role or both

ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist with a strong clinical skillset and a passion for delivering exceptional, client-centered care. In this role, you will excel in a community health environment, utilizing your advanced communication skills and thriving as a vital member of our multidisciplinary team committed to upholding and promoting the Gateway Health core values. Successful applicants must have:

  • A bachelor or post-graduate degree in Physiotherapy with Current Authority to Practice as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • High level competency of Physiotherapy skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team in an acute healthcare setting.
