About Mental Health Services at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH)

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) operates in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga, situated between Sydney and Melbourne. Our dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff serves a population of 250,000 individuals in North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. We operate through two main hospital campuses and 22 additional sites, offering a wide range of emergency, community, mental health, allied health, and sub-acute services.

AWH functions as an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, focusing on mental health treatment, care, and support, including Alcohol and Other Drugs services. We manage 10 specialized community-based programs, three acute care services, and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation. Additionally, we provide services to assist families dealing with parental mental illness and establish connections to carer consultants.

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams consist of mental health clinicians with backgrounds in nursing, occupational therapy, social work, and psychology, all experienced in aiding individuals through various therapies. The diversity of our services offers a broad range of experiences to our team, aiding in the expansion and consolidation of clinical practice skills.

About the Role

The clinical lead position involves upholding high clinical standards within a multidisciplinary Infant Child & Youth Service setting. The Clinical Lead is responsible for providing exemplary direct clinical leadership, education/training, and clinical supervision with a systemic and developmental approach within ICYMHS and across the Mental Health Program. They support, promote, and evaluate the clinical standards and processes of the team, coordinating research initiatives to enhance mental health outcomes for infants, children, young people, and their families. The clinical lead collaborates closely with the ICYMHS Program Manager, consistently embodying the core values and purpose of the organization to ensure exceptional mental health care and outcomes. The incumbent will establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders both within AWH and externally, demonstrating innovative thinking to overcome challenges and showcasing professional leadership to achieve performance targets and ensure high-quality treatment outcomes in collaboration with clinical teams across campuses.
