Product Marketing Manager

Department: Customer Experience & Marketing

Division: Australia Commercial

Location: Docklands

About the role

At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive. We're making this happen by improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our customers so they can achieve incredible things– whether they're buying a home, building a business or saving for things big or small.

This role sits within a squad that manages product marketing and performance for key commercial products across key target segments. We are responsible for managing the marketing launch of new products, offers and features, looking for sales optimisation opportunities and coordinating marketing activity with the aim of driving sales performance and customer experience improvements, predominantly through digital channels.

The squad does this across all commercial product categories with a focus on small business. This role will be the Product Marketing lead for the Commercial Credit Cards portfolio, managing the marketing relationship with internal and external partners and driving towards an aggressive set of targets.

In true Agile fashion, our squad will need to swarm on priority initiatives as needed, meaning the successful candidate will have the opportunity to broaden their Commercial product knowledge and marketing skills across the portfolio.

.

This role is accountable for:

Product Marketing Ownership – Thought Leadership: Work closely with internal and external partners to build out holistic strategies for driving growth in acquisition, retention and customer experience for Commercial Cards across key target segments.

Product Marketing Execution: Project manage the launch of new offers and features to market, coordinating efforts across numerous squads to ensure all launches are integrated and successful. This includes delivery of campaigns, improvements, banker communications, personalised BTL comms, partner marketing channels and more.

Reporting and Forecasting – working with Data and Digital colleagues to build forecasts and track performance against those forecasts. Requires the building or commissioning of new reports, understanding data, drawing conclusions and insights into performance then presenting to senior internal and external stakeholders. This includes ensuring channel capacity to manage growth is planned ahead of time.

Sales Funnel Optimisation: Tracking performance of Commercial Cards and their (digital) sales funnels, looking for areas of improvement, influencing other squads as needed to make those improvements, then ensuring conversion numbers and sales improve over time.

Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as the Transact & Save Tribe, Everyday Banking Tribe, Digital Origination & Innovation Tribe, Distribution, Legal, Risk, Digital Sales Experience, as well as relevant external partners and agencies.

Risk management: Ensure effective compliance and risk procedures and controls are in place. Perform risk assessments for new initiatives and processes as needed.

Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008

Role Type: 12-month Fixed Term opportunity
Schedule: Full Time

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

Ability to think strategically about the direction of our products, leveraging internal and external insights to drive a product marketing plan.

Ability to work with numbers: Forecasting, tracking performance, seeing the story behind the data to drive improvement in sales.

Ability to execute marketing activities: Proven strength in execution in a complex environment - ability to plan, deliver, measure and optimise an effective marketing program of work that aligns and supports broader business and marketing plans. This could be individual work, or project managing a group of colleagues to deliver. Briefing agencies, reviewing creative, providing feedback, working to timelines to ensure a smooth delivery.

Superior communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels of the business.

Knowledge of small business customers and relevant banking products is a plus, but not a prerequisite.

Great interpersonal skills, including the ability to be part of a fun, inclusive, high-performing Squad and Tribe are ideal.

Agile experience preferred but not a pre-requisite.

A growth mindset, resilient nature, and an ability to cope and support others through ambiguity, uncertainty and change at pace.

Ability to quickly grasp new content and the ability to translate this to your function.

Ability to ask for and give feedback, mentor others.

You're not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we'd love to hear from you.

There's something special about being part of ANZ. From the moment you join us, you're part of a team working towards a common goal: improving the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. You'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources and community you need to take the next big step in your career, towards even bigger things in the future.

We offer a range of benefits tailored to the countries in which we operate including Health and Wellbeing programs and flexible working arrangements.

You'll also enjoy working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated. We encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself.
