We are seeking a highly skilled Product Designer to join our National Product Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative and creative residential designs that meet the needs of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement design standards and processes that align with our product and display delivery programs.
- Produce accurate design documentation that addresses the design brief and meets the requirements of our product and display delivery programs.
- Take on a design concept and implement the idea/s across the product range, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Support and foster the continual improvement of product designs, resolving design-related queries and issues.
- Manage the design and documentation of all aspects of the home, including site plans, floor plans, facades, elevations, internals, design options, and relevant details.
- Stay up-to-date with national building codes and regulations, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and excellence in design.
- Strong design skills and a passion for design excellence.
- A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and creative residential designs, demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centred design principles.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Building Design & Drafting, Diploma of Architectural Drafting or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design and/or drafting environment.
- Experience in the residential volume home building industry in a design and/or drafting capacity is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in design software and tools relating to house design, including Revit.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a team-orientated environment.
