WesTrac are looking for a motivated
Laboratory Assistant Team Lead to join our team in the Laboratory, reporting to the
Laboratory Supervisor.

Main tasks for the role involve sorting, preparing and processing fluid samples such as oil, coolant & grease.

Additionally, the role involves conducting necessary limited tests and overseeing the upkeep of consumables and laboratory instrument inventory to maintain the lab's smooth and efficient operation.

Data entry responsibilities will be shared among all Lab Assistants on a rotating basis.


The Laboratory Assistant Team Leader has 8 direct reports which consist of Laboratory Assistants to which they will provide coaching, training and distribution of tasks amongst these team members.

This position will be offered on an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

Location:
South Guildford, WA

Roster:5/2 8hrs with alternating morning & afternoon shifts

To be successful the following is required:

  • Previous experience in a Laboratory type role is considered advantageous
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • High level of attention to detail and Analytical skills
  • Strong computer literacy skills
  • MS Office
  • Sound communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
  • Ability to work successfully within a team and autonomously
