About You


As the Kirrip Program Support Officer, you will work closely with the Coordinator, Student Engagement & Development to support student-focused engagement programs helping students feel prepared, connected and supported outside the classroom to drive a sense of community and belonging.


With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you will support the coordination of the Kirrip program and other peer-led support activities, with a strong focus on student development.

Responsibilities include program promotion, coordination and evaluation to ensure the successful and safe delivery of all activities.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Experience in event coordination within a University or equivalent community.
  • Friendly and approachable with excellent communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills to build community partnerships, supervise volunteers and work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A high level of attention to detail, exceptional administrative and organisational skills with the capacity to take direction and achieve agreed outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with volunteers to develop confidence and leadership skills and commitment to developing and maintaining pathways for student involvement in the planning, management and delivery of programs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a flexible team member committed to achieving own and work team goals and priorities, and to continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge and working experience in using the Microsoft Office suite as well as familiarity with design and campaign platforms such as Canva, Mailchimp and Bitly.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or relevant professional experience at a similar level.
