Your role at St John of God Social Outreach

We are seeking to recruit a Director of Community Mental Health Services to join our Social Outreach team based in Perth or Melbourne, on a permanent full-time basis.

As Director and a member of the executive team, you will be responsible for the provision of strategic and operational leadership to optimise client safety, quality of care and experience, including operational efficiency for community-based mental health services for St John of God Social Outreach across Australia.

The Position

  • Plan and oversee delivery and evaluation of client services which are consistent with recognised best practice models of care and reflects the Vision, Mission and Values of SJGHC.
  • Provides innovative and inspirational leadership to the caregivers in the services and effectively lead change in a dynamic environment.
  • Accountable for all operational and model of care aspects of services within the portfolio, including reporting, monitoring of workforce, financial, care excellence and service management.
  • Participate, support and promote self and caregiver participation in Social Outreach and SJGHC programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure delivery of recognised best practice and high quality services.

You will have at least 5 years' experience in leadership roles, delivering community based mental health services across multiple states or broad geographic areas. This position will require a holistic and inclusive leadership style that focuses on growing and innovating patient services. Additionally, this role will involve managing risks, leading change and building new and existing partnerships.

Successful applicants will have a tertiary qualification in mental health or related field, be registered with a relevant professional body, valid state drivers licence, working with children check and current national police check.
