Reporting to the Chief Digital Health Officer, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of digital projects and initiatives that enable clinical excellence, support our workforce to deliver equitable and high-quality health outcomes, and have the capacity to adapt to meet future health requirements.

Initiatives include the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) implementation project, virtual care programs, and medical technologies including medication management, clinical decision support and diagnostic tools.

These initiatives are designed to reduce the administrative burden on clinicians (allowing them to focus on delivering care), enable clinicians to diagnose at the point of capture (in real time), and help healthcare professionals make informed decisions based on the latest guidelines and patient-specific information.

As a leader, you will foster a culture of innovation, and role model solution-oriented, empathy-driven decision making.

You will be accountable for the effectiveness and adoption of digital solutions, monitor and evaluate, and provide specialist advice to solve complex problems across business and technical domains.

Your ability to foster collaboration and alignment, and build strong relationships with leaders, our clinical workforce and frontline staff, our young patients and their families, will be pivotal in keeping stakeholders informed, and engaged.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and influencing a diverse multidisciplinary group to manage and deliver digital health projects and programs within CAHS and across the broader WA health system.

Overseeing all aspects of program delivery, facilitating escalation as required and navigating complex stakeholder relationships.
Planning and allocating resources required for program and project management, within budget, scope and timelines.
Monitoring and managing program-level risks and mitigation actions to safeguard delivery of outcomes.
Developing and maintaining governance practices to enable informed decision-making and prioritisation and resolution of complex issues.

Providing insights and progress information to key stakeholders, including the Chief Digital Health Officer, Department of Health WA, and CAHS Executive.

Representing CAHS on strategic governance committees, forums, and cross-functional project teams.
Fostering a culture of innovation and working with research institutions and industry partners to advance paediatric healthcare.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader, familiar with navigating complex organisational structures, and have extensive experience in digital health or healthcare program delivery.

Prior experience delivering an EMR, or delivery of large scale health systems, will be of benefit.
Additionally, you will have a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies and human-centered design principles.

If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in paediatric healthcare and drive positive change, we want to hear from you.

Join us in our mission to enhance patient care and improve outcomes for our community.

About our Team The Digital Health team at the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is dedicated to delivering streamlined, efficient, and high-quality care to young people and their families, both now and in the future.

We maintain an integrated, robust and cohesive system, ensuring effective data exchange across various departments and external facilities and support teams in leveraging data to increase visibility of clinical and operational workload, inform decision making, enhance patient outcomes, optimise hospital operations, and contribute to medical research.

To maximise the impact of our digital tools, we provide training focused on improving the digital literacy and capability of system users.

Through engaging with our young patients, workforce consumers, carers, clinicians, and the health service system, we ensure that our patients and their families are active partners in continuous service improvement.
