Our dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff supports a population of 250,000 people throughout North-East Victoria and Southern NSW.

Our extensive network encompasses two primary hospital campuses, and an additional 22 sites, delivering a diverse range of emergency, community, mental health, allied health and sub-acute services.

AWH is an Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing mental health treatment, care and support, including delivering Alcohol and Other Drugs services.

We deliver 10 specialised community-based programs, along with three acute care services and three facilities dedicated to recovery and rehabilitation.

We also provide services supporting families coping with parental mental illness and facilitating connections to carer consultants.

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing teams comprise mental health clinicians with a background in nursing, occupational therapy, social work and clinical psychology, all of whom have experience in helping people through a range of therapies.

The diversity of our service provides a range of experiences for our team and will assist you in expanding and embedding your clinical practice skills.

About the RoleThis Clinical Lead position is part of the ACMHS Team and is responsible for the provision of a high standard of clinical practice, assessment and intervention within the setting of a multidisciplinary team.

The incumbent is expected to actively contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the services provided by the AWH ACMHS as a whole.

Additionally, the incumbent will provide the Albury CCT team with clinical guidance and support.

The position is based in a multidisciplinary community mental health team with consultation, liaison and capacity building with other local services as an important role.

The Adult Mental Health Clinical Lead will be a valued member of the Albury Continuing Care Team and will be required to:
Promote recovery as a service goal in interactions with individuals, groups and other organisations.

Ensure that provisions of the VIC and NSW Mental Health Acts and other relevant legislation, policies and procedures are applied to clinical practice.

Within the multidisciplinary team environment, undertake and contribute to a high standard of planning, development, implementation and review of clinical processes.

Pursue and participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to maintain and broaden clinical knowledge and expertise.

Eligibility for registration with AHPRA or eligibility for practicing membership of the relevant professional association.
Commitment to and understanding of contemporary mental health service provision.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, policies and staff development activities.

Sound knowledge of the Victorian and NSW Mental Health Acts and other relevant legislation and its application to clinical practice.

Demonstrated experience of working in a community mental health service setting.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Demonstrate ability to apply recovery orientated approach to clinical practice.
