Position:
Community Mental Health Clinician

Location:
Midwest Region Western Australia


Salary:
$50 - $70 per hour

Accommodation:
Subsided Accommodation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to individuals within the community.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual needs, incorporating evidencebased interventions.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care and effective coordination of services.
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
  • Educate clients, families, and the community on mental health issues and available resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, adhering to organizational and legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • A recognized qualification in mental health, such as a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body.
  • Proven experience in providing mental health assessment and treatment services within a community setting.
  • Sound knowledge of evidencebased therapeutic approaches and interventions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with diverse clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current mental health practices.
